Parker House - Kensington Expandable Entertainment Center

Imagine buying one entertainment center that will accommodate any TV you have now or will purchase in the future. The Kensington Entertainment Center has a unique, patent-pending expandable design that will do just that. This piece is full of options that allow you to create the entertainment center that best suit your needs and your space. Whether you have a flat-panel or a rear-projection television, there's sure to be a combination that works in your space. And this unit is as attractive as it is versatile and functional. With great features like antique brass knobs, back plates, and cameo bale pulls on drawers combined with the warm brown cherry finish, this center has a traditional look that will be in vogue for years. The finish draws out the wood's natural grain and there are fluted columns and intricately carved crowns to round off the details.

The expanding center console can be purchased by itself as a versatile and space-saving choice. There are two glass doors that are each curved with a one-inch bevel. Behind each door is a permanent shelf for storing additional media equipment or movies. If you expand this console to accommodate a larger TV, you will reveal two shelves in between these glass-front cupboards. The more the console is expanded, the larger the shelves become. If the console is kept at its smallest size, the shelves simply won't exist.

If you have a flat-panel TV, you may wish to add on the expandable bridge shelf and back panel. This component has one expanding bridge, one expanding shelf, and one back panel. It features a lighting system with a three-way touch dimmer switch to add a little drama to your family room. With the bridge component also comes the left and right stereo cabinets. The bottom doors of each stereo cabinet include interchangeable wood or speaker door fronts. A drawer above that has full-extension ball-bearing glides and French dovetail construction, front and back. The glass on each cabinet is curved with a beveled edge and behind each door are two reversible shelves and a wine rack. A laminated serving shelf is included inside the drawer for convenient wine opening and drink mixing. At the top of each cabinet is an open shelf with a can light above it for highlighting any special items. You may also choose to add the curio end displays to your flat-panel TV entertainment center. These pieces are designed to fit nicely on the ends of the stereo cabinets and each one features a pullout media storage box and three shelves behind the curved-glass doors. A can light is also included in the top of each curio case.

If you're looking to accommodate a rear-projection TV, your options will be the same as the options for the flat-panel TV described above. The only difference is that you will not receive the center console for your rear projection TV. The center for your rear projection TV will include the bridge, shelf, back panel, the left and right stereo towers, and the option of the curio cases.
