I looked at a lot of TV stands in this price range. Virtually every stand I looked at in a retail stores was junk and/or improperly assembled, some costing >$1000. None of the stands had doors that closed properly, even when new. The VDG stand was the only stand with doors that actually closed. This stand is not perfect, but for this price range it is a good choice. [...]The top and front are solid wood while the rest is MDF. Assembly is very simple, you simply unfold the stand, bolt some trim pieces on the ends and attach the top. They even included a hex wrench, all you need is a screwdriver for the door pulls.
