This is an overall good looking unit. I looked around for a long time and baught it for the style. I tried to find something I was happy with that was made out of real wood, but I kept coming back to this unit. I finally pulled the trigger and am happy with the result. It holds all my equipment and protects it all from doghair and kids! Plus I think it's a good style that would blend in with just about anyone's decor.

Service and delivery comments:

Delivery was very speedy. In fact I recieved the unit faster than expected. It was in a heavy box, I think around 100 lbs. maybe more. The box was a bit beat up which worried me. I know it's heavy so it was probably slammed and dropped a few times. I did a short stint at UPS when I was in school so know how things get handled some times.
I took pictures of the packaging issues before opening the box just to be safe.
As I opened the box and began inspecting the pieces I noticed there were some damaged items. The top of the unit was the most outstanding damage. It had a few dents and cracks. The back was damaged (tore on the crease) and the front of the drawer was damaged. Not too terrible but it's on the front which stinks. It looks like maybe it was a flaw in the painting process because some is missing here and it's not part of the texturing that is on the wood.
I called Hayneedle and explained the situation and offered to email photos of the damage. The customer service at Hayneedle was excellent and they said they had an agreement with this particular manufacturer to replace damaged items. I listed off the 3 damaged items and was told they would be replaced. So far I have recieved the new top but not the drawer front or the back piece. I just got the top not too long ago. About a week or so after getting the initial product. I went ahead and finally put the unit together with the damaged drawer and back because I got tired of waiting on those parts. I think Hayneedle handled it well, and it's the manufacturer who is slow on their end since that's where the replacements are coming from, but it is taking a long time to get the replacements and I was in a hurry to get the unit put together. I would order from Hayneedle again because of the low hassle factor, he didn't ask me to email the pics (even though I offered) and didn't question what I had to say about the damage like some companies do when you have a damaged item.

This was a fun Cyber Monday purchase that has been helpful to the redecoration of our living room due to the new TV. I was disappointed that it was not real wood and that it has a card board backing, however it is really a beautiful piece. It shipped here earlier than we originaly thought, so that was fun too! Putting together was less than 1 hour with two people. The hardware is good quality. Enjoy! I think that we will for what it is!
